Innovative Card Games for Everyone
Sustainable gameplay with endless possibilities and minimal waste.
First Titles Now in Development (Production)
At Poor Sports Games, we create engaging card games that prioritize sustainability and versatility, offering players unique experiences while minimizing waste and costs.
We develop these titles over months and years, with the consumer in mind. We create mock-up, and samples, and test play styles, card effects, and secondary mechanisms. (Like our in house Runic Restriction system developed with TTRPG players in mind)
Our games are designed to be played in multiple ways, ensuring endless fun and creativity while reducing the need for traditional gaming components like tokens and boards.
Development (Pre-Production)
Development (Pre-Production)
Currently, our first game is in the production phase, having designed the game, assets, and even all the expansions.
TOQUE! is a unique card battler, where everyone tries to make sure they aren't the first person eliminated, leaving them hat less in the dead of winter!
Build upon themes of Canadiana, Toque not only pushes you to your limits of memory and reflexes, it also teaches you Canadian slang, and stitches you into the fabric of the Canadian Mosaic.

Interchangeability
TOQUE! is one of our most innovative designs, allowing you to play the main game in 3 diverse ways, with a total of more than 10 different variations and combinations between Toque and its two expansion Hydro and Plain, as well as, the adult party game version Maple!

Versatile Gameplay
Our first entry into the social deduction genre changes the game, instead of survival against a killer, the group works to keep the enemy from getting drafted from militia into the regular army, if they all get in, they win! If they get found out, they get sent to a 'facility' where they are 'examined.'
Several of our games are designed explicitly as social deduction games aimed at being compatible with both smaller groups of people (as few as 5 players in some instances) as well as larger groups. Fascism rising itself is aimed to be balanced for a group of both 8 players and a group of 32 to play comfortably.
If they can survive the chaos of that many players remains to be seen.
